Creating Some Fun Quizzes by Using Hot Potatoes

This program is very useful for teaching,,,

Hot Potatoes is a tool to create some quizzes. Hot Potatoes' program consist of six programs that can be used to make material in an interactive web-based teaching. This software is made by Victoria university in Canada. Hot Potatoes can be used freely by educational institutions. 

Okey,,, I will tell you more about some programs of "Hot Potatoes"...

a. Jquiz,

It is a program to prepare training material which consists of 4 types, among other things: multiple choice (multiple-choice), short answer, Hybrid (The combination of multiple-choice questions and short-answer) and Multi-Select.

Okey,, I also give you an exercise of JQuiz about starting and ending conversation which is very appropriate for senior high school (SMK).

b. JMix, 

It is a program to create a training program sentences.

I also show you an exercise of JMix about text procedure entitled “How to clean a messy room after party”. You need to arrange the sentences so that you can get a complete paragraph about the steps to clean a messy room easily. This quiz is appropriate for senior high school.

c. JCross, (crossword puzzles)

This program is used to prepare the material in form of a crossword puzzle.

I give you an exercise of Jcross as well. In this quiz you will learn more about vocabulary in hotel. This quiz is appropriate for senior high school.

d.  JMatch, (matching or ordering exercises)

This program is used to make exercises with the model match. I also show you an example of Jmatch about an exercise to find the tools to make “Tempe Burger”. This quiz is appropriate for junior high school.

e. JCloze, (gap-fill exercises) 

This program is used to prepare training programs in form fill in the blanks exercise. I also give you an exercise of Jcloze about text dexription which entitled “My Unforgettable Experience”. This quiz is appropriate for junior high school.

f. The Masher

This program is designed to help manage and compile some of the content exercises of five programs above in Hot Potatoes. The program is still Masher paid. In this program you can also make the process and monitoring training content directly to the server of Hot Potatoes.
